Planning to build a gaming pc with around 1000$ and i want to know which is better! helP?

For gaming you go with the i5 2500k
i5 gives you power efficiency when compared to AMD fx-8120
AMD FX-8120 is no good for gaming

I'm looking for a decent Directx 10 compatible desktop gaming pc for a budget of around $1000. Preferably with multi-monitor support

I have all peripherals already just need the pc itself.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks.
