progressively slows down, and i JUST bought it
its usb 2.0
for example it first shows 24Mb/s then 20 , 15, after 5min its 9 and then stuck in 6 and very slowly goes for 5.98 and lesser
first i put 6Gb movies in it, and thats what happened, made it done after almost 15 min or 10 min
whats its problem?

This has worked for me several times, so I will pass it on. Plug it in the port, heat it with a hair dryer, wait a minute, plug it in and out a couple times. If it still does not work try the same thing with compressed air to cool it. If it start working copy the data as it may stop working again any time...

Plug it in with the computer running. Then shut the computer off and remove it. Reboot the computer, wait a minute and plug it back in. If it is okay, It may have been left in an open state.

The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers and your USB ports should be back to recognizing all devices! to achieve this simply power down you pc as you normally would and then unplug it from the wall for about 2 minutes. plug it back in and power up. hope this works for you.

Help with my Laptop!?

Hello, I have a Sony Vaio Intel Core i5 6GB RAM 64-Bit. I've had my laptop for about a year now and it seems to be getting slower, it starts up slow, shut down takes forever, and my FireFox loves to comes up with (Not Responding) for like 15secs then resume. My memory is 461 free of 584 which is good. I have a few games(Steam), I use Skype alot, I use FireFox and Chrome, I've downloaded a few torrents(which seems to kill the speed), I do use CCleaner once in awhile. I downloaded PC Matic free scan and it says i have a lot of junk files, 4 drivers outdated, useless start-up programs, and a few other things. I do NOT want to buy PC Matic(cause im cheap), and im about to give it to Best Buy to clean it and stuff, Its like 100-200$. Kinda of a rip. Is there anything I can do, i know my way around a computer. I don't want my baby to be slow :( Thanks in advance

Well I could give you advice to fix this by uninstalling some programs for a start. There is a free anti-virus program i have fallen in love with right when i started using it because it acts better than any others.

Before you install that software uninstall any anti virus you have and DEFINITELY UNINSTALL Pcmatic and Ccleaner. Your computer is a little performance shy of mine but it should not be slow. Avg anti virus even notifies you when your computer starts up faster saying " Did you feel that? Your Computer started up 225% faster since you installed Avg "

After it's installed run a virus scan and it will remove any viruses off your computer with your permission.

Don't listen to carlos because if you have games on your pc and files it's a pain to re-install everything after you wipe windows.
