GAMING PC components compatability?

hi all im trying to build a pc and was wondering if you think the parts are compatible.... i have looked up myself but would hate it if i found after buying it that it was not compatible... heres what i have planned,
case: lian li pc-a17a - black
mobo: Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe Motherboard AM2 AMD 790FX/SB600 ATX RAID SATA LAN
cpu: AMD PHENOM X4 9650 2.3GHZ SKT AM2 4MB 95W PIB
gpu: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4850 512MB PCI-E Graphics Card
ram: 4GB kit (2GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400 memory module
basically i think they are compatible but am not sure... i have all the optical drives and hard drive sorted out but im not sure about the psu.... i have been told that i need a 1000W in pc world, then a 600w in maplin and a 400w last time i asked on this?!?! i cant see any details on the motherboard or anything and cant really work it out?! can anyone help? im sortof on a budget so want to keep price as low as possible but want my components to be at their best.. and noise is not an issue

Let's start with the "Building Block' of a computer. Your building block is the Asus M3A32-MVP. I know it has a PCI-Express x16 slot, and it's the PCI-Express 2.0 version. But lets go to Asus's website (Asus.com/Support), and get the facts.

I'm going to download the PDF Motherboard Manual, so I know exactly what the motherboard will support,

(It's the Version E3455, should you wish to take a look. I used the Global download. The China download was going to take too long)
Page xi, tells you under Cpu support, that this mobo (Motherboard) supports Phenom X4. (You're good to go!)
Under the Memory heading it tells you it supports DDR2 at 800MHz.
Crucial's Ballistic is a good PC-6400 ram. You have Four ram slots, and each one has a 2GB Maximum Amount for ram. (You're good to go!)
You have Four PCI-Express x16 slots. These are the PCI-Express 2.0 version.
Be aware that if you install Two graphics cards, each one run's at 16x.
If you install Three graphics cards, One run's at 16x, and the other Two at 8x. (This is normal)
If you install Four graphics cards, all Four run at 8x, and you should adopt me! lol! Wish I had the money for FOUR graphics cards!)
So that pretty well does it. You can check pages 2, 3, 13, 14, 15,
(Wait until you see page 18!), 22, and 23, for more direct info on your listed hardware.
1000 watt Psu? Somebody's on crack!
The mobo takes about 150 watts.
The Phenom uses 95 watts->Max. (Look at your description. See the 95W?)
An AMD ATI Radeon HD4850 takes ->450 watts, and this includes the rest of the system. They never list a graphics card wattage usage, without listing what the entire system needs. Ain't NO graphics card gonna' use 450 WATTS! They base the wattage on a spec system setup. They use a pretty 'LAID-OUT' system, to try to encompass a lot of different system builds, that people could do. Doesn't cover them all. You should look online for a Power Supply Wattage Calculator, and base it off of that. There are free ones that work, besides the ones that want to sell you their version.
Thing that I believe you may want to consider, is what you will be doing in the future. I don't see the need of TWO graphics cards, or FOUR, but I'm not you! Is this in your immediate future? Better get a Psu that will run them now, IF you can afford it. I use the 'Best Bang for the Buck' theory. What you have listed right now, will Slam-it-to-the-wall, for games!
(I wouldn't go above a 600 watt Psu. When judging what Psu you should use, one should look at the possible Maximum wattage needed, then add 10% more wattage. This keeps the Psu from running so hard, and, I believe, increases the longevity of it)
Just make sure the Psu has a PCI-Express 6-pin power cable. This shouldn't be a problem as just about all new Psu's do! You need one that has 75 watts. Volts times Amps= Watts. 120 volts times .625 amps =75 watts. That's less than 1 Amp!
My example of a good 600 watt Psu? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3622549&CatId=1483 (This one has TWO 12 volts rails. 21 Amps for one, and 22 Amps for the other one. This is 43 Amps for the 12 volts rail. WAY more than you need! (You know a computer only uses the wattage it needs. No MORE, no less|!)
I am a little apprehensive, about using a Quad Core for games at present. There isn't that many games, that have been written to fully utilize all four cores. They ARE coming out, however, and Quad Core is the future! It will be the norm for games before you know it! (Maybe I need to 'Man Up', and come into the future! lol! I am an old biker,so this won't be a problem)
