What graphics card would you recommend to play Skyrim on high settings?
Kevin
I would like to play Skyrim with my pc. One problem, the game isn't running fluent at all. This is probably caused by my graphics card. My setup is:
Operating System: Windows Ultimate 64bit
Processor: AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core Processor. (3.10 GHz)
Memory: 12,0GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6450
What graphics card would allow me to run Skyrim without any lag or other issues?
Thanks in advance!
Answer
A Radeon 6850 should be good enough to make Skyrim run smoothly. A Radeon 6850 costs about $150. (Keep in mind, a Radeon 6870 or Geforce 560 would only cost about $20 more.)
The recommended power supply for a Radeon 6850 is 500 watts or larger. (Because the FX-8120 has an higher-than-average TDP of 125W, I would take that to mean 550 watts or larger.)
