pc games to play?

William

I am looking for another pc game to play. I prefer f2p games, but I will pay for non-subscription games if I think its worth it. I am liking path of exile right now. I also like games that dont need mice/mouses to play effectively. I also enjoy lol, skyrim, dragons prophet, tf2, bastion, assassins creed...those are the games I am currently playing

Answer
Get the division by ubisoft and watch dogs. They will be great open world games and the division is a one time fee, not subscription.

Skyrims controls on a xbox 360 controller but playing the game on PC?

Kyle

So I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to this or has done this on their PC with other games? I was debating on weather I should buy skyrim for my xbox or PC and I decided that I wanted to get it for the PC for all the mods that are put out but I would really like to play it with an xbox 360 controller and I read that you can connect the 360 controllers to you windows PC. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if I can map the controls to the controller the same way they would be in the 360 version of the game?

Answer
You can. I use my 360 controller in my PC version of Oblivion and mapped the buttons from the layout of my 360 version of the game. All you need is a controller mapping program. XPadder is good for that because there are profiles you can use for different games if you don't want to create your own.

If it's a wired controller, all you have to do is plug it in and let it update if you have Vista or Windows 7. XP won't automatically update so you need to get the drivers from here http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows

If it's wireless, you must buy the wireless gaming receiver and get the drivers from here http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows if you have XP.

Will my PC play Skyrim?

Podge

Hi, I was wondering if my pc will play Skyrim;

SystemRequirementsLab said that I could run it, but I want to know how well I can run it in terms of graphics settings? See my specs:

Intel 2 core 2 quad CPU @2.40 ghz
3gb RAM
Win7
1TBhardrive
ATI RADEON HD 5670 512mb

Answer
I play the game in high settings, with AA turned to 2x, view distance turned right up in 1920X1080. My computer is fairly similar to yours. Here's my specs

Intel core 2 quad Q8300 2.5ghz (which may as well just be the same as yours
4gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce GT430 1gb (while mine has more video memory, yours has a better gpu. So essentially you do have a better video card than me. So yeah, you should be able to play it ok.

Can someone build me a gaming pc to play modern games?

Alex

I made two builds and I guess no one thought they were that great and I have no idea what I should be looking for. I never built a computer but I can put it together given the items to build it. So I want to move to PC Gaming. I want to play mostly on High, and able to brag about playing huge games on Ultra with little lag (I know there will be some). Pretty much I want a computer that will be set for many many years to come.

BF3, Skyrim, Arma 3, GTA 4, etc Games like those.

Thanks, also, if you want to use Cyberpowerpc.com and just post the config that would be much easier.
--I mean building computers to play games like BF3 on ultra, not building a game to sell to people.

Answer
Yes people build games but they take money. Mainly guys from animation charge a handsome amount of money to play these games.

Is it possible to get a $700 Gaming PC that can play Skyrim on high settings?

Jett

My birthday is coming up and I want to get a gaming (laptop cause they're cheaper) so I can play AT THE LEAST 2011 games and below, but if I could get one for 700 that could play 2012 games like Skyrim that would be great! Thanks! I was thinking about going to my local computer shop.

Answer
Actually In terms of gaming and raw power... a desktop has a lot more to offer. You could buy say a 800 dollar gaming desktop, and the price for a laptop with about the same power, is about 1400-1600. If this changes you mind... take a look at MyCustombuild.com, they have a option for about 800 that will pack a much bigger punch than any 700 dollar laptop you will find on the market, will also play all games from 2011 and also ones from 2012(not ultra settings though).
ALSO*** Desktops are MUCH easier and CHEAPER to upgrade for gaming because usually the only upgrade you may need in the future is a video that you can pick up for 100-200 bucks to continue playing the newest titles. (really you can spend as much as you want on video cards, but 100-200 should do the trick.)

What graphics card would you recommend to play Skyrim on high settings?

Kevin

I would like to play Skyrim with my pc. One problem, the game isn't running fluent at all. This is probably caused by my graphics card. My setup is:

Operating System: Windows Ultimate 64bit
Processor: AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core Processor. (3.10 GHz)
Memory: 12,0GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6450

What graphics card would allow me to run Skyrim without any lag or other issues?

Thanks in advance!

Answer
A Radeon 6850 should be good enough to make Skyrim run smoothly. A Radeon 6850 costs about $150. (Keep in mind, a Radeon 6870 or Geforce 560 would only cost about $20 more.)

The recommended power supply for a Radeon 6850 is 500 watts or larger. (Because the FX-8120 has an higher-than-average TDP of 125W, I would take that to mean 550 watts or larger.)

What would be a good starter gaming PC?

best gaming pc to play skyrim image

Sam Fenn

I want to buy a gaming PC the cost of which I want to cover primarily from the selling of a 250GB Xbox and a HP G61 laptop. This is my first gaming PC so the spec details really mean nothing to me at the moment. Can you help me decide what would be a good starter gaming PC to play games as demanding as, say, Skyrim? Again, I have no idea what kind of quality this demands. Thanks.

Answer
So you have to buy HP Pro book 4540s Laptop

Any ideas for a good gaming PC that I can use to play Skyrim or Fallout at medium to high settings?

Jamie

I really want a good pre built gaming PC that has a good processor and quad core, any advice I'm 13 so I don't have a lot of money. Thanks:)

Answer
Most pre built gaming PC's are quite expensive. You can get those games for Xbox 360/PS3.
