How exately does each computer part work for gaming? (computer gaming expert needed!)?
Q. Also what would be reccomended for a 2011 pure gaming pc build? Like how much RAM will I need/use and so on?
I will choose the best awnser on whichever one has the most information and is detailed, THANKS!!!

Answer
OS: 64-bit version of windows 7 (premium, pro, or ultimate)
RAM: AT LEAST 6 GB! not the 1gb that the other guy suggested. but yes, ddr3
CPU: any AMD quad- or hex-core with a speed above 3.5gHz or any intel i5 or i7
GRAPHICS: you do not need to spend $500. you can get a good ATI card for $100, and a fine one for $50 (search newegg for radeon 5450)
HDD: 500gb will probably cut it if you have a tight wallet, but you can most likely afford the extra FIVE DOLLARS to get a terabyte
SOUND: whatever you want. most motherboards these days have 5.1 or even 7.1 built in, so a separate card is most likely not necessary.
