Is this a good gaming PC?

BC

Considering getting this http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2396545,00.asp?tab=Specs
I want to use it for gaming, (Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Call of duty etc most modern games) modding games like Fallout 3 and making programs (like programs in python). Will this be good enough for the job? Also is there anyway to get WiFi on it without opening the thing up?

Answer
First of all how much is that Rig your looking at as i see no price on that page? & yes you can get a WIRELSS USB DONGLE but you don't want wireless on a gaming rig anyways as they tend to cut out from time to time & there is nothing like being pissed off when youâre doing good in a game & poof your disconnected. Always better to direct connect when gaming! Why are you so afraid of opening up a computer? It's really not that bad nor is it anything to be afraid of.

If you want my honest opinion, it is always better to build your own computer PERIOD; you will spend less & get better Hardware. But the only down fall is an OS, if you don't know how to get it free then buying is the way to go. I can't remember the last time I paid for Windows or OSX because it's way to ease to get it free without being caught. Let me know how much that system cost & I will see what I can build better Cheaper & I will even give you Windows any version you want free & walk you through building it as well as picking out the parts for you to make sure there all compatible!

Down in sourse is my build for you: Still not sure how much that system you posted is & the cheapest I could find it online was around $500 so on that note my build is $667.62 witch includes shipping. I know it's $167.00 Bucks more than the one your looking at & I will explain to you why this is a better deal.

My build come Eqquiped with:

Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card Compared to the AMD Radeon HD 6550D witch is not a bad card because the CPU I picked out for you has that Integrated on the CPU die just like the A* version CPU in that Asus pick. What make's mine better is the fact you get a whole dedicated GPU as well as the Integrated AMD Radeon HD 6550D & they will run in AMD Radeon Dual Graphics mode giving you way better graphics & FPS.

AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU witch is 2 CPU's better than the A8 3800 in the Asus.

G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (UPGRADEABLE TO 32 GB DDR3 2400+ OC Ram)

ASRock A75 PRO4/MVP FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard witch is a much better Motherboard than that Asus has by far.

2 USB 3.0 Ports

700W Continuous Power 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply witch will give you plenty of power to run the system & upgrade or add latter on down the road.

You only get a 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD but that's not that big of a deal when you consider all the extra goodies your getting in graphics, CPU & system power/Motherboard your getting in return.

So what I'm trying to say is spend a little more & you get a much better machine, But in the end if you don't have the extra money then that Asus will do you just fine.

O yea & not to mention that Asus case is UGLY as a MOFO & the Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case I picked out for you looks so much better & has much better Cable Management & airflow not to mention the blue LED's XD

So ask yourself, is better Ram, CPU, Graphics, case, Power supply, Motherboard & DVD Drive worth an extra $160 bucks ) & did i mention you get $30 Bucks worth of mail in rebates? that means your only going to end up spending an extra $130.00 that is one hell of a deal :)

Answer
You should get the Second rig(Gateway) as it has an i5 as compared to the old core 2 quad and as you mentioned you have a Gtx 560ti so you can run all games at medium-high settings and ya lookin at the size of case your graphics card should fit in
