im building a gaming pc and i wanted some advice on what parts to choose such as motherboard, cpu and graphics etc also should i go for fans or liquid cooling. i want to be able to play all the latest games but i don't want it to not be able to play games that come out a week after i have built it. also if you could give an idea of the prices of the components that you would pick would be good.
my currency is £ sterling and i would be working most likely towards £500 and no accessories

Answer
Ok, for Good Gaming i recommend....
1. Quad Core. Quad Core is always nice for gaming. I recommend getting one of these babies. They start at 100 dollars on newegg, for an AMD product. Triple Core and Dual Core are ok, but i recommend triple or quad.
2. RAM, for this, i recommend getting 4gb+ getting a good stick of ram is important.. these start at like 40 dollars. But the faster ones are more expensive.
3.Motherboard-Pick a good one with a nice Onboard Sound and No onboard video. make sure it has a good amount of expansion slots and make sure it has a PCI Express 2.0 slot. If your Crossfiring, or SLI'ing(using two graphic cards) make sure its supported.
4. Get a good graphics cards. For ATI i recommend getting at least a Radeon 5770 1gb DDR5 card, its DX11..and DDR5.. so its basically future proof. If it's Nvidia, get at least a 460. Like the 5770 its DDR5 and DX11, both these cards will play anything on high.
5. Get a good psu. 500w or more. It's better if you get 80+ certified ones, so that they can produce enough power
6. Get a good case, choose one from your liking, make sure it has good airflow
7. Get a Hard Drive. 500gb is good enough.
8. Get a DVD Drive/Burner/blu ray player.. your going to need a DVD Drive to put cd's in and if your going to be playing blu ray dvd's you need one of those, if your burning cd's get on of the DVD/CD burner

And then of course there's the monitor, mouse, and all that good stuff. I personally think that liquid cooling is good an all but having good case fans would be cheaper and better, liquid cooling is for more experience builders.

AMD is the better bang for the buck, but the Intel is just the really expensive OP stuff.
A good budget build would be $400 at least, knowing your budget is important, so you'll be able to choose whats best.
