This is just a low budget PC, so don't expect too much from it, Since the resolution of the monitor is only 1280 x 1024 then the most is that you could play most games on low-medium settings.

But if you want a build that can run all games at high settings and some on max settings, it would be around $750-$850. Here is an example :

This build can let you play all games at high-max settings with good FPS since the monitor that comes with this build has a max of 1600x900 resolution. This build would do well so to speak.

I am looking for a very good gaming computer for under $500. It can be already built or just components. I would like a desktop.

most average desktop pc's usually have a somewhat decent graphics card. alienware computers are really good on gaming pc's, and there should be a few computers for a little bit more or less than your 500 limit.
