best gaming desktop under 800 on Best Gaming Pc Case For The Money
best gaming desktop under 800 image
Q. I am currently running on a emachines t5010. Its so terrible for gaming considering its an older model and not meant for gaming. I play WoW with the settings on low and run at 3-20 fps. I want to find a gaming desktop under $800 (though I am willing to spend more) that I can play with settings on High or maybe even Ultra. Thanks!

Answer
Best option will be to build one.
You spend less and get more (of what you want). And there is no tax or shipping on Newegg.com, unless you live in TN, NJ or CA.

Buy a cheap $40 to $60 PC Case with power supply mounting on the bottom (better air flow and cooling)
Buy an Intel Core i3-2100 ($125) and a Z68 chipset LGA1155 socket motherboard ($108)

Buy 8GB DDR3 RAM (2 x 4GB) of G.Skill Ripjaws X Series either 1600 or 1333 ($40 to $50)
Buy a 1TB Seagate Barracuda SATA III (6.0Gb/s) hard drive ($65)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148698
Buy a GeForce GTX460 graphics card ($150)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130749
Buy a good 600 watts power supply ($60) - Cooler Master, Antech, OCZ, Corsair, etc.

TOTAL: $515
Go for an Intel Core i5-2500K (much better, that's what I recommend) and it goes up to $615

Intel Core i7-2600K and you are up to $715

Add another $100 for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM:

What would the best gaming desktop be for me?

Adrian

I would like extremely fast multitasking, lots a memory, Blu ray player, great graphics card and supports 3D. Oh and a budget under $800 also that its a long lasting desktop. I a smart tv that is hd and 3D and i was thinking of using that for a monitor. So can you guys point me out in the right direction and tell me a good desktop model

Answer
Let me get this straight, you think $800 is a lot? No. The GTX Titan/GTX 690/HD 7990 alone cost $1000. Also you mentioned "extremely fast multitasking, lots a memory". I suggest
-I7-3970X: $1000
-Mainboard: $200
-RAM 16GB: $120
-GTX Titan: $1000
-Other things: Should not cost more than $480
Total: About $2800
Now you have $800, in order to meet your standard, yoi will need $2800. Now you have $800, which is not even a half.
You cannot get a PC like that with $800. Get more money.
