Q. I'm wanting to get into PC gaming, but most PC's are expensive, and I'm only 14, so I don't exactly have $700 dollars to spend. And I know making a PC is cheapest, but again, I'm young and can't make something like that on my own. Not looking for much, it doesn't have to run Crysis 2 on the highest settings or anything, I just want something that can play most games on low or medium settings. Counter Strike: Source, Killing Floor, and The Binding of Isaac would be primary examples of what I would play.
Answer
Disagree with the Amazon one just presented, since it is only NVidia 610 graphics so needs a graphics card. Agree and have recommended the Newegg one at $530, re-adding here in case you choose this best answer:

There is also a very interesting laptop at Tigerdirect until they sell out:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2008029&CatId=4938
Acer Aspire AS5560G-7809 NX.RURAA.001 Notebook PC - AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M 1.5GHz, 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, DVDRW, AMD Radeon HD 7670M
Although an A6-3420M is a low clock speed, it is a quad core. It gates(bottlenecks) gaming, so it is hard to truly know, and it gets hot, so a laptop cooler is essential, but this $450 (plus shipping) has a 7670M and is below $500 (Newegg Desktop is $550 delivered and one or the other or both are plus tax depending on your state). The Desktop ranks with a GT 640M

and the laptop as shown a slowed 7670M
You might also find used gaming systems on Craigslist.
You evaluate CPU and GPU and other features to try to match performance to an equivalent new one.

Priced correctly is 30% to 40% below an equivalent new system using newegg and tigerdirect to guide. (0.6 to 0.7 price multiply). And, they do come up with patience if in a large area.
The laptop includes a 15.6" 720p screen and at least HDMI output. The desktop requires a monitor or TV.
With Crysis 2, and the top end The Secret World as guidance of what the Newegg Desktop and the Acer laptop can do
You should get MEDIUM-HIGH (not ultra) for The Secret World on the desktop, meaning it plays every single PC game sold, and you are adjusting settings to match the frames per second stability you want. It should get Crysis 2 very fluently and smooth on high settings even on a 1080p screen.
The Acer laptop should get The Secret World on medium with a little tweaking and hopefully the fps is satisfactory, or otherwise shift it to low settings. It should get Crysis 2 on medium-high, so it should meet your price and play targets and also have a portability.
2004 Counterstrike source is also listed in Notebookcheck. Lesser graphics chips recorded 150 frames per second on high. The lower end games should not be a challenge on either system.

is this asking too much? there's too much info scattered across the interwbes, so i came here looking for recommendations. i play a lot off MMO's and such, but that's basically the only thing id use it for. i don't want to spend too much, at the moment i have 4gb ram, with 2.10 ghz... but my graphics card is crap (for todays games) and i cant upgrade my laptop.
oh, and what i meant was, do these not exist?
