Not using bootcamp for general online browsing rather downloading games like League of legends, team fortress 2 etc. And downloading pc games. Do I need antivirus for when I use bootcamp? Is it as strong as the macbook itself? Or is it more susceptible to viruses?

Answer
Ever since Windows 7 came about, things change. Virus is practically nil unless you went to dodgy sites. If you want to, there's Microsoft Security Essentials which is really light yet powerful. Remember, as long as you don't go to dodgy sites or plug in any infected usb drives, AV isn't really needed.

Why is my USB stick transfer rate slow on my PC?

Danny

I have two computers: A laptop and a gaming PC.

No, it is slower on the gaming PC. On the gaming PC it gets approximately 6-8 mb/s compared with the laptop's 20-22 mb/s

PC specs
AMD FX-8120 8-core 3.8GHz
8GB 1333MHz RAM
USB 3.0 (however I believe the stick is USB 2.0 only, but the same happens in the USB 2.0 slots)
AMD Radeon HD7950 @ 925MHz
120GB SSD and 1.82TB worth of 7200 RPM HDDs (same transfer rate on all drives)

Laptop specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 N950 quad-core @ 2.1GHz
6GB 1333MHz RAM
USB 2.0
AMD Mobility Radeon HD5650
750GB 7200 RPM HDD

Both running 64-bit Windows 7 and the same antivirus. There must be something specific with the PC that I can't see causing this!

Help please! Thanks in advance.

Answer
The transfer rates between the USB ports could play a difference. IE USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 would account for a slower transfer rate.
