Answer
Okay, I just want you to know, Alienware is good but their too overpriced....The same with Falcon North West and Voodoo PC.

Want my advice? I'd rather build one myself, it's more fun and a great experience, plus it's MUCH cheaper for you to buy the parts and put them together.

If you want to buy one prebuilt then I suggest you go to http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/

Look at these links if you want to have an idea about what you wanna get if you build one: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=4445589

Alienware - Gaming Pc?

SSVegeta

is there any Alienware (or any other gaming laptops) Laptops that are Under £750, and how many GB does it have

Answer
The Alienware M11x is a powerful laptop. It is actually the cheapest alienware. It's starting price is 799.00 US dollar. It can be built with an overclockable core 2 duo for 100 extra.

http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/alienware-m11x?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn

Only problem is, it has a smaller screen. It has a powerful graphics card as well. It comes with 2 gig of ram and is upgradable to 4gig for 50 dollars. It has great reviews, looks great too.

Again, it is the cheapest alienware. But good alienware can be rather expensive. I would seek a different lap top built with similar gaming spec. You might be able to get one for around 1000 us dollar.

Im looking to build a gaming pc online like you can on alienware but not from alienware, any suggestions?

Answer
Alienware is overrated, they just have a cool logo, and that's it.
Here's a good chunk of sites I personalty bought from or know friends who have.

http://www.falcon-nw.com/ The cream of the crop, but they are very pricey but well worth it.

http://www.sagernotebook.com/ Not flashy, but they pack a lot inside a laptop, great quality laptops.

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ Decent reputation, they also have deals and discounts, especially on black Friday.

http://www.ibuypower.com/ Again decent reputation, they too always have deals and offers. Just careful as usually you might not be able to upgrade too much after obtaining it, same with cyberpowerpc.

http://www.maingear.com/index.php Great quality PC, good service, just one small step below Falcon Northwest PC.

http://avadirect.com/ Good reputation, haven't really heard anything seriously negative about them from friends.

http://www.gamingpc.net/ Not crazy with some in love with some of the parts they use, but they make a kicking PC.

http://www.pugetsystems.com/ Not Flashy at all, but good reputation.

http://www.xoticpc.com/ They sell customized Sager, ASUS and MSI laptops, good services, there live tech support used to be iffy, not sure how it is now.

http://www.velocitymicro.com/ Good service, nothing really negative on them.

What is the absolute best gaming PC money can buy?

I want to know specifically what gaming PC is the absolute best out there on the market right now. Don't worry about price. If it is customizable, what are the best options to go with it? Thank you.
Just to make myself clearer, I will not accept one word answers such as 'Alienware'. I need the model and specific details, too.

Answer
Alienware

How much more would an i5 core processor benefit me than an i3 core processor performance wise?

Q. I'm buying a gaming PC (the alienware aurora) along with an ATI radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 (single GPU) and I was wondering if using an i5 core processor would benefit me performance wise more than the i3 core processor. If it does how much greater is the performance? Is it by a lot or a little?

Answer
depends on which i5 you are buying. choosing one of the more higher-end i5s will make a pretty significant difference when it comes to buying a recent, high-performing game. however vs buying an i3. it will be much faster. however, you still need to make sure your computer has enough ram in it also. 4 gigs minimum.

I want to get a nice gaming pc, but an alienware computer is out of the question at their prices... Can anyone help me find information on how to put together a solid gaming pc of my own? Help such as what parts I'm going to need, how much they would cost, a rough estimate of how much the sum of the parts would be. I'm looking to play games such as SC2 and WoW. Thanks!

Cyberpower builds are the best that you can find that are not way overpriced compared to other brands . So Just go to newegg and look into their cyberpower PC's that are currently on sale =P

Is Alienware a safe/good company to buy from?

Shrimp

So, I was going to buy an aurora gaming pc from alienware, but some people say its not a good company to buy from????

Is it safe?
What are some alternatives if not?

Answer
Alienware is safe, and always was good. They are now owned by Dell and their name has really fallen off the gaming circles. I personally do not know what influence Dell has had, but Alienware was always VERY expensive. So to pay that much for a Dell seems absurd to me.

Companies I consider comparable to Alienware glamor and flash are:

http://www.falcon-nw.com/
While I hate their site, they really make beautiful machines. There attention to detail is second to none.

http://www.ibuypower.com/ or http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/
While they don't seem to put much thought into the components they offer for a build, they do have a great selection and are MUCH more realistically priced then either Falcon or Alienware.

And of course there is my company. We offer a custom quote system and advise along the way. We are also some of the least expensive on the internet, along with ibuypower and cyberpower PC. Look us all over and see what you think. We have all found our niche at this point, so one of us on this list will be a good fit for you.
