Hey, I'm in the market for a Wireless surround sound Headset. I've found some great ones for PC and some great ones for Xbox 360, but none of them seem to be compatible with both. Does anybody know of a headset that i'm looking for? Does it even exist?
Any Input is appreciated!

What WIRELESS headset should I get for PC gaming (not Xbox)?

ZeVindowVi

I just bought turtle beach X32s because the guys at gamestop said it should work with PC. Well it doesn't, so now I'm looking for a similar headset that's at about the same price, works for PC, and can be used through bluetooth or wireless

Answer
i think Astro A40 or Turtle Beach

Which wireless gaming headset for Xbox 360 should I buy next?

Daniel

I currently have the Turtle Beach X11. In the near future, I plan on upgrading to a wireless headset.

Answer
I have the Turtle Beach EarForce X31s, and I must say they are AMAZING. They have 5.1 surround sound, are completely wireless when it comes to game sound (voice chat requires mic cable), and have very good bass, as well as the capability to be used with any system (Xbox, PS3 and PC). They are also very durable, I have dropped mine many times and they still work perfectly. They are very comfortable, and the mic cable isn't that big of a deal when you're playing, or if you prefer not to talk to anyone, then just unplug it and enjoy a completely wireless experience. They do use batteries fairly quickly, but if you get yourself a decent set of 4 rechargeable AAA batteries, then you can just charge 2 while you use 2 in your headset, and changing them only takes a couple of seconds. The X31s go for only $100, and the X41s (same thing except 7.1 surround sound, digital audio, and a bigger wireless receiver) go for $160.

What is the best PC/Xbox 360 7.1 Wireless headset?

Scott Wime

So im a primarily PC gamer and I currently have a pair of turtle beaches; (X-12's) but theyre getting old.

I need them to be wireless because my computer chair keeps running over the cord in my room.

I want the best possible audio and surround sound, ive heard the Astro A50 and the Logitech g30 are the best, anybodies thoughts??

Answer
Astro A50 is definitely one of the best headset which support both PC and Xbox 360 however it is not completely wireless for Xbox 360 and you will have to connect the mic cable from the controller to the headset in-order to use Xbox Live Chat. Here is a very good actual user comments on the headset, talking about its great features and superior performance.
http://www.amazon.com/review/RS6A1ZSGBX0QZ/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0091WIOJ2&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=kndfjp-20

Logitech G930 is a great headset as well but it is compatible with PC only. If you are looking for headset for PC only then you can go for it however if you are looking for headset for Both devices then I would suggest Ear Force XP510 headset which is also wireless and is a great headset with some cool features.

Is there a wireless gaming headset for xbox and pc where i don't have to disconnect wires constantly?

Jesse

I'm looking at the Razer Chimaera 5.1. But my main concern is that i have my laptop and my Xbox in different rooms, and it's a hassle to have to constantly unplug my headset from my Xbox to move it to my PC. Will i be able to say, hook these up to my Xbox and maybe only unplug one thing to move to my PC?

Answer
AS far as i know,There's only one way to do this, is to connect your Headset directly to your Monitor or TV

I play both my Xbox360 and my Laptop on the same monitor Through HDMI so i don't have to keep switching all of the time. the only cable i have to switch is the HDMI .

Can the X31 Turtle Beach Wireless Gaming Headset be used on the computer as a mic also?

I would like to make commentaries on my Xbox 360 games, but I do not have a mic. My headset's cheaper model, the X1's can be used on the computer, but the X31's cannot be. How do I connect it to the computer so I can talk into the mic for commentaries?

Thanks in advance.

Answer
You can connect the PC sound card output to the X31 transmitter input and hear the PC sound. To connect the mic, you'll need to connect an XBOX wired controller to the PC USB port and connect the headset to the controller with the talkback cable.

In February, Turtle Beach plans to offer a splitter cable to connect the headset directly to the PC mic input so you won't need the controller. Check the accessories section of the X31 web pages for details when it's available in February. Here's the link where it will be posted as soon as it becomes available:

What type of headset for X-Box 360 is best, Turtle Beach or Gamecom?

Holly Prin

I want to buy my brother a new gaming headset (Turtle Beach) for his Xbox 360 for his birthday. Right now he has a Gamecom headset that he uses for his computer but I think he can use it for his Xbox too. So if Gamecom is better than Turtle Beach I won't buy him a new headset, but if it is, then I will. So which is better, Turtle Beach or Gamecom?

Answer
For console usage Turtle beach headsets are very good. I'll recommend a Turtle Beach headset, which is compatible with Xbox console, with surround sound. Here is a very good actual user comment on the headset, talking about it very good feature and very good performance:
http://www.amazon.com/review/R291GRC2PECI3H/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00B3PDHBU&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=armas9-20

This is probably one of few headsets which is best for console usage. They are wireless and offer great sound and some very cool features. However if you are looking for a cheap priced and good quality headsets for Xbox 360 then I would suggest you check out Ear force XP400 (wireless, surround sound), Ear force X32 (wireless), Ear force PX22 (Wired), X12(wired) headsets. All of these headsets are from Turtle beach and are good headsets which are relatively cheap in price and offer good features for their price range.

Regarding Gamecom headset I am not sure which model you are talking about if you talking about Plantronics Gamecom 780 then I am afraid it is for PC usage only and might not be compatible with Xbox. Some of Gamecom headsets are very good so if you mention the model it would be more easy to compare. Company wise TB headsets are very good for console usage and people prefer them for such. However for PC Plantronics headsets are very good. Both these companies have produced some outstanding headsets for usage on different devices like plantronics have produced some outstanding headsets for usage in call centers where as TB has some great headsets for gaming usage. .

Can you hook up a wireless Xbox headset to PC?

Shane

I want to sync my wireless xbox mic to my computer, is this possible?

Answer
It is but only if you use the controller (xbox 360) and only through the wireless gaming receiver.

Meaning, once you have the xbox controller hooked up to your pc, then the headset works as a mic.

What are some good gaming headset options?

Eryk J

I am looking to purchase a new gaming headset. I currently have the Turtle Beach X12s which are AMAZING. I have had no problems with them! The only reason I am looking for a new headset is because the X12s do not work on the PS3 (I had the X12s before I got a PS3). I recently bought the Turtle Beach Kilo headset on Amazon but they were TERRIBLE. I take really good care of everything I own but these broke in 2 days! Anyone I talked to on PS3 or Xbox could barely understand me when I used this headset. I tried fixing them but nothing helped, so I sent them back and got a refund. So I am looking for a headset that is like the X12s but work on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. I'm looking for a headset that is comfortable, durable, has good sound (game sounds and voice chat), and is just an overall great headset. I was just looking at the Turtle Beach DPX21 and Tritton AX 720. I would prefer to spend no more than $130-$150 because that's kind of steep for a headset... I would also prefer a wired headset so I don't have to go out and spend even more money to buy batteries for a wireless one. Any suggestions? :D

By the way, I mainly play FPS games but I do play games like Skyrim, Borderlands, and Dead Space once in awhile.

Answer
I would suggest you try XP300. It is within your price range. It is compatible with both PS3 and Xbox. This one is stereo and have good options but it does not have bluetooth or dolby sound except for these two features all other features are better than X12. It is a wireless headset but you can solve this battery problem by taking rechargeable cells then you wont have to buy batteries every now and then and you can recharge cells whenever they are low. I was also afraid of wireless headsets in the beginning because of batteries but then this idea struck my mind and I did myself a favor and I bought 2 sets of rechargeable batteries and now I use wireless headsets without any problem. I keep other set charged and as soon as one set gets low i put other set in and start recharging first set.
