i have tried and tried to play yahoo games but it takes forever to load. any suggestions that really works?

.click pop up blocker............ best advice is to turn it off..(ENABLE POPUPS)...of course some will say it is a mistake to turn it off but you can decide this for yourself once you know where it is, nothing bad or evil will happen if you decide to turn it off, so it is not a mistake, it is just a choice you make......... pop ups are very easy to just click off if they appear....once in the lounge........click "options" bottom left of the lounge and choose the small tables/windows option

Make sure you are not running multiple task bars that have their own pop up blocker.


If problems still persist read on...........
Yahoo will not tell you when they update, they just do it. So when games/chat have a problem you can bank on it that Yahoo have updated..and Yahoo update often...When yahoo updates you must update as well

there are 2 choices of Java you can use.......Sun Java and Virtual Machine....some prefer the sun java
but the Virtual Machine works better for games and you do need Java to play in games, ( without it some won't get in and if some do get in , they won't stay in games)

Update............. -- If you cant log into chat/games or you continually freeze, it is because Yahoo's browser has issues with SUN java as default, the coffee cup sux... The Virtual Machine Java works better with yahoo. Yahoo is Java dependant.
This is also the reason for the games applets not loading and some web cam issues. The easiest fix is to update , make sure all your windows are updated

If the game is meant for PC meaning Windows, you should play on Windows. There are some options to get some games to work on OS X like wine/crossover but it is tricky and may not work 100%.. Before you get a Mac read below...


PC=Variety of specs, options, quality, prices, vendors, support
Mac=One vendor, limited options, still more expensive. Look below for more information..

Contrary to belief, Macs are not better quality. Apple also has been changing suppliers to try to "lower the price" and thus lowering quality. Even with the lower prices, Macs still cost more, they spend a higher percent of budget trying to make it look pretty, and marketing.

Today, Macs use the same hardware as PCs. Why spend extra to get the same CPU chips, graphics cards and OS X isn't as secure as you think.. Look below.

WINDOWS ADVANTAGES:

Aprox 90% of the market is Windows. Most PCs include windows already pre-installed.
1) A number of websites still require Internet Explorer to view and IE for Mac Stinks (it is really ies4osx which is the Windows IE version running really buggy on OS X and illegal if you don't have a legitimate copy of Windows, too many problems with it).

Installing Linux in general is very simple and much more secure than OS X(Macintosh) and free.
Also, most Linux distributions have a LiveCD which means you can try without installing...
UBUNTU, KUBUNTU, FREESPIRE, PCLINUXOS, etc.. all have live CDS.
All you have to do is..
A) to download .iso file off the internet from the Linux website
B) burn the .iso file to a CD or DVD (Make sure your burning software can burn an ISO or get InfraRecorder http://infrarecorder.org/ )
C) restart the computer with the CD in the drive
D) As computer is restarting, press on F12 Key a bunch of times to get a boot menu
E) Select the option to boot from CD or DVD.

Mac OS X was hacked in 2006 under 30 minutes, and hacked within 2 minutes in a contest in 2008. Linux and Vista were not able to be hacked until another day when restrictions were lowered.
All macs are standardized with Cameras, if your system gets hacked, the hacker would more likely be able to turn on your camera.

C) VIRUSES

The argument that OS X has less viruses is true, but that is against XP, BUT Mac OS X has viruses, a friend of mine has a virused Mac. As more users use Macs, more viruses will come out for it. Especially when users think "they are safe".

RAM is too slow. Not cpu compatible.
For gaming, not high enough on the graphics. Your price of CPU-Graphics is out of balance. Graphics should cost more than the cpu. HDD is small. Using a Z87 with a locked clock cpu.
Power supply is more than you need. Motherboard is crossfire compatible, but not SLI compatible and does take a 10% performance reduction compared to x8,x8 boards.

A gaming computer is basically just a regular computer made up of high performance parts. You don't really need to be an expert to build you first computer; nowadays there are lots of guides online etc and you also have forums and things like Yahoo answers to get help from.

Also make sure you get good brands. They are a little expensive but I have never had a piece of hardware go out on me even if my computer is four years old.

My biggest concern as of now is: How can I know if my power supply can handle the things that I'm gonna put into it?

Here's a Power Supply calculator. Add 100 Watts or so on top of what it tells you just to be safe, and don't go below 500 Watts for a gaming computer.

I know Amazon is a great place. Please do not say eBay, as their customer support is rubbish and 1/3 of their items for sale are knock off. I live in United Kingdom, and I am planning on building a gaming pc. I know what parts I want to but, but what I don't know is where to buy them. The prices for the parts on Amazon are good, not amazing but good. I looked on Newegg and their price is outstanding, only they don't ship internationally.

Could anyone recommend a place to buy pc parts, please? Thanks in advance.

A gaming computer is basically just a regular computer made up of high performance parts. You don't really need to be an expert to build you first computer; nowadays there are lots of guides online etc and you also have forums and things like Yahoo answers to get help from.

Also make sure you get good brands. They are a little expensive but I have never had a piece of hardware go out on me even if my computer is four years old.

I am planning to buy a hardcore gaming pc but I don't have the time to sit down and build it. Can u suggest any brand where I can customize the desktop or any company which can take specifications from me and make customized gaming desktop for me. I tried researching by myself but could not find any such thing on the internet for India. The customization offered by dell sucksssss big time ..... n i guess gaming platforms in india also suckk big time.

NVIDIA is the best. But still I recommeded you for a quad core with 4 gb ram in, 3 or above processor speed for good graphic & gaming result.

I like to play games like Chicken Invaders, Collapse, Bounce Out, Luxor, Q-Bert to name a few. I find that the mouse and keyboard contols cause me arm pain from the position that you have to hold your arm in. I am looking for an alternative. I have small hands and love the simple old Nintendo controller. Any suggestions? And do you have to do something special to make a controller work with omline PC Yahoo games? Thanks
