Best gaming laptop under $1,000?

Bob

I want a gaming PC. I currently use an Xbox but I have decided I should get a new gaming laptop, because I wanted a new laptop anyways.
So, I've been researching a lot. I've found 3 choices:

- Toshiba Satellite P50-ABT2G22 Laptop
Intel core i7-4700MQ
4GB DDR3
500 GB Hard drive
2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 740M with Optimus
15.6 inch screen
PRICE: $729
Link: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/cdetland.to?poid=2000098991

- Qosmio X70-ABT2G22 Laptop
Intel core i7-4700MQ
4GB DDR3
750 GB Hard drive
3GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M with Optimus
17.3 inch screen
PRICE: $930
Link: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/cdetland.to?poid=2000098978

-Buying or building a dedicated desktop gaming PC
Budget: $400

My question: What should I choose? Should I buy one of the laptops? Should I make a desktop (if so, what specs?)? Do you have a better laptop recommendation for me?

Also, how long should those laptops last me before they are outdated? Specifically the Qosmio, which I am leaning towards.

AND, if I get one of the laptops, should I upgrade to 6GB DDR3 for $50 extra?

Answer
Definitely build your own. It's fun, relatively easy, and you learn a lot about computers in the process. Not only that, but it's cheaper to get good parts that would be very expensive if they were pre-made.

Building a gaming computer?

Taylor

I would like to build a nice gaming computer.I want it to have nice components.Prefferably brands like intel and Nvidia not and. I would also like to have windows 8 on it. What are good components for this?(I need specific components not just suggestions.)I also want it to be relatively quite and fast. I have never built a PC before so if you have any good tips please tell me them. Also are ther any good websites to help me with building a computer?I want to buy all my components from newegg. Thanks for any answers! Oh and also price is not an issue as long as it doesn't go above $3,000

Answer
Wow, $3000? You can build a ridiculous machine under that price...

ASRock Extreme 4 Z77 Motherboard: $125
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697

Intel i7-3770k: $330
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116501
with Hyper 212 EVO: $35
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

Samsung 840 PRO Series 128GB SSD: $140
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147192
with Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB HDD: $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147192

Corsair HX 80 PLUD GOLD 750W PSU: $120
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010

G-Skill 16GB DDR3-1600Mhz RAM: $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231568

LG-Blu-Ray Combo Drive: $50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136252

CM Storm Enforcer: $80
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119240

Windows 8: $100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832416550

At this point you are up to $1140 and you still need a graphics card, the most important part of your build. The best is the GTX 690, but it is $1000. Still within your budget, so by all means get it, but these offer better performance/price value:

GTX 680: $470
GTX 660 ti: $280

If you get the GTX 690, upgrade the PSU to a higher wattage than 750. You won't need more than 800 or 850 unless you get multiple video cards.

(It capped my answer at 10 links, but you can find these on Newegg easily. Check reviews for different brands, prices quoted are EVGA.

How do you move houses in The Sims for PC?

best gaming pc under 50 000 image

hehe(:

I found the money cheat and now i have about $71,500 and I already have a home..i would like to move into the giant house that is $50,000 but I don't know how to move houses. Please explain how to in step by step procedure. Thank you!

Answer
I'm not sure if you are talking about Sims 1 or 2. But, I'm guessing 1. To my knowledge you can not move into another house unless the house you want to move into is occupied by someone who will marry you (they propose marriage, not you.)

Where as if you are talking about Sims 2, you either look in the newspaper or computer to find own place. If you want the whole family to move, go to the neighborhood view and under the family section there should be a button that says move family into family bin (it looks like an arrow over a square.)

For both games I found that if there is a nice house that I like, but it is expensive, before I move the family-Sims 2 or the fresh family I just created-Sims 1 or 2 I go to build mode, select the house, and make it worth less and less money until it is worth $20,000 or less. Just make sure you know how to put it back.

I would also move a family onto an empty lot, or tiny house (that I will fix when I move in) by going to build mode and selecting "lots." When I move into an empty lot, I will use the money cheat a bunch of times, and then I will build to my heart's desire

Good luck and happy Simming! :)

I was wondering what the best gaming computer in the world. Would it be a custom made pc or one bought rom alienware or sometthing. IT CAN BE ANY PRICE WITHIN REASON! like 50,000 is the highest so dont go naming super-computer at nasa or something.

Answer
If you read Maximum PC they do a super build every year just to prove it can be done! however i did notice they spent $25,000.00 one one machine! and Yes all the parts were available to anyone. its not like they used something you couldn't get. It was a nice machine but a bit pricey for my blood! I don't need to play games that bad! You can get a super gamer for under $2500.00

best gaming pc under 50 000 on DVD Yabanc, Film Sayar Blu-Ray DVD Oyun, 24, Band Of Brodhers, THE ...
best gaming pc under 50 000 image

Oliver

Hi, I'm thinking of building a gaming pc for under £650. I need something that could play Battlefield 3 on ultra settings at at least 50 FPS. The most important thing for me would be the GPU. Thanks!
P.S: I would like and Intel CPU!

Answer
I'm Aussie so £650 is like $1,000 here what is what my PC cost on ebay.

I'm 16 years old...

Search on ebay something like HD 6950 gaming computer or something like that maybe even go into your local computer store with these specs.
(Ebay is a god)

My PC can run Battlefield 3 90-125 fps on max settings but I do put it to high graphics due to I can't see the difference. I done some work exp for a computer company and built over 50 computer while I was their. My PC now is 7months old and runs every game I play max settings...here is my specs.

-8GB ram
-Intel I7 2600k CPU
-HD 6950 1GB Twin Frozer 3 overclocked by MSI (Best HD 6950)
-Random mother board (Think it's as rock or something)
-Azza orion case (Red)
-750w power sup (Crappy random one)
-1 TB black Weston Digital Hard drive

=Not in the PC cost I bought this stuff over the 7months and used a old crappy monitor for 3 months=
(Good stuff)
(If you're tight on money just got with a microsoft pack or something)

-24" monitor LG HD bla bla HDMI
-Razor death adder (I would got with a mionix mouse if I bought one today)
-Razor black widow
-Wacom Tablet (I'm a digital artist/game dev)
-Free webcam
-Blue yeti mic (Yep yep ya)

Please recommend a good gaming PC under Rs.50,000 ?

Nachiketa

Please recommend a good gaming PC under Rs.50,000.
I'm paranoid about it having

-quadcore i7 (higher than 3 GHZ) or better
-powerful Nvidea graphics
-4GB RAM or better

I want to be able to play games like Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012 and Counter Strike Global Offensive.

Thank You

Answer
You really do not need a i7 for gaming. A i5 is fine. You need add least 8GB RAM I would say. Games like Skyrim has a recommended of 4GB so 8 is what you should go for . For card I would go for Nvidea GeForce GTX 670. Plus CS:GO is running on the Source Engine. This engine is out dated know so you don't need a very powerful system to run it. I haven't played NFSW so I am not sure what spec you need for that. Hope this helped somewhat.
