2013 <400$ Budget Gaming PC?

Q. I am building my first gaming PC and need help finding the right parts. I can only spent $400, maybe a bit more. These are the specs I need:

Video Card: At least 1GB memory.
Optical: Already have.
Hard Drive: HDD around 500GB, but would rather trade speed for size
OS: Plan to use Linux, so this is free
RAM: 4-8GB
Motherboard: Want at least one USB 3.0 in the back. I don't know much about PCI and PCIe, but need slot for graphics card, wifi card (if motherboard doesn't have already), and plan to buy internal capture card for recording Xbox games in the future.
WiFi card: If motherboard doesn't have
CPU: Best for money
Case: Doesn't have to be pretty, just functional
Fans: if you recommend extra fans?
Power Supply: Safe and efficient. Not too expensive

I need this to play primarily Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Left4Dead2 and other games that may require more power.

Gaming PC For 600 dollars?

Q. I wanna know if anybody can put together a part list for a gaming PC. This is going to be my first gaming PC. I need at least 8 gigs of ram and a dedicated Graphics Card. The gaming Pc is the one you build for yourself. You'll save hundreds of dollars building it yourself. They're real easy to build also. Go to youtube and find a video how to build one and a video quoting "gaming pc for $1000 2013". To show what parts to buy. Already built gaming pc are pretty much a rip off.

Gaming PC Parts for Most Steam Games!?

In February 2013 I am planning on buying PC parts for a gaming computer. I want the computer to play most of the games on steam. Probably the most graphic game im going to play is Black Ops I. But if I decide to get something better I just want it to be REALLY good.

What I am looking for in my PC:

I would like 4 USB ports so I can plug in my keyboard, mouse, and any other equipment I decide to get. I need to have the outputs for my mic so yeah.

I would like 3.3GHz or better.

A Graphics card that can play most games on steam.

and a case WITH OUT LED LIGHTS THAT ARE UNNECESSARY
And well you get the point I want really good specs and such.

Now to finish it up I only have 640$ but I would like a little left over. I would pay at least 200$ more or so, so I could Get what I want and I could still save up. SO thanks a bunch Cya!

A grand will get you top spec. but you will want to self build, you'll get all the parts you want and quite possibly cheaper than a prebuilt system.

I recently did a build for someone (details are on my email account) which was on a £700 budget,

i5-3570k
asrock z77 extreme4
8gb ram
1tb hdd
WiFi card
OCZ 600w PSU.
7850 Radeon HD graphics.
120gb sandisk extreme SSD.

this came in at 700, so for 1k, you can up the graphics card to top spec and still be in budget...

prices change and tech is renewed quite often so in 6months there will be an even better spec available.

well, nVidia just released the Geforce GTX Titan...for $1000 dollars you can have the best of the best ;)

If you're looking for something reasonable thought, the nVidia GTX 560 Ti is a great card, I don't know AMD cards that well, sorry.

Brayden waiting for people to donate gaming pc parts is just a little too ambitious.Gaming pc parts usually cost a lot,if you wanted a simple pc that can run games but not new ones like games released on the year 2011,2012 or 2013.Some people may help you.A simple PC costs a lot less than a gaming PC.
