whats a good gaming pc case?

I want a ATX full tower case. Since I'm planning to build a gaming pc I would like something that has a window or maybe some leds. I found the Rosewill Thor v2 case. What do you think and any other recommendations?

Make sure you get a steel case first. Even if it doesnt look cool you want you pc protected, dont get a plastic case.

Case suggestions for gaming PC?

Okay so I am completely new to PC gaming and I want to build my own PC. basically I am willing to spend up to $1500 on the whole thing. So I'm looking to have an upper scale PC. right now I'm looking at cases and I really can't decide. I know I want something with good air flow and plenty of room. I was looking at the cooler master storm Stryker or the cooler master HAF series. but I am open to anything. any help would be appreciated. Also if you can recommend other parts I may need.

I'm also confused on drive bays. some cases have up to 9 drive bays. what would I do with that many?

It depends on whether you want quality, looks or a bit of both, Lian Li make good quality cases, but are very simple in appearance and many don't support 240mm water cooling, The Haf series and cases like the Aerocool XPredator and Enermax Spinerex look really good and are full tower cases, supporting water cooling much better. It depends on what sort of case you are looking for.
Also, i would recommend getting parts such as a Nvidia GTX 680 GPU, Intel core i5 3570k processor and 8gb's of ram for a gaming pc. For a motherboard you could get something like the Asus P8Z77 or the Sabertooth Z77, its really up to your preferences.

Also you probably won't need 9 drive bays, they can be used by things like dvd burners fan controllers etc.

At the moment, I am currently searching for the most advanced combination of PC parts to build the most advanced gaming PC in the world. I'm serious. Money is not an issue. What I'm searching for is the very best motherboard and the very best compatible parts to go with it. That includes the best compatible case, the best compatible processor, the best compatible video card, the best compatible sound card, the best compatible CD/DVD drive, etc. I will need the name of each part and a link to whatever website I can buy it from.

Best compatible? I really don't get what you mean by that. They're all going to work with each other perfectly.

Case: Custom case, or a heavily modded one.
CPU/GPU: Intel + Nvidia graphics card. You might want to consider waiting until Intel Ivy Bridge + Nvidia Kepler
Mobo: Quality high end motherboard.

If you are looking for the absolute best, known as an enthusist board. You are going to cough up quite a chunk of change. You are looking at approximately $3600-4200 depending on how many HDD's you would want. There really is no best gaming PC out there. PC technology keeps evolving every month to something faster and smaller, along with a $$$ added to it. Here would be an example of what this month's top PC.

Motherboard-EVGA SR2 motherboard
CPU- (2) i7 965 Processors (motherboard has 2 cpu slots)
Cooling- (2) Zalmann 9900 LGA 1337 CPU coolers

I've been looking over websites like TigerDirectBlog, DigitalStorm, CyberPowerPC, and some other sites. However, they only have a limited range of cases available. Does anyone know a site where I can custom build my own Gaming PC with a mid Corsair 800D case?

The types of cases I have chosen are the NZXT 410 Phantom, Fractal Design R4 or The Aerocool X predator X3.

There are two series of cases that I really enjoy, the HAF series (coolermaster) and the Phantom series (NZXT). I like the look of the Phantoms better, but the HAF series which stands for High-Air-Flow definitely has the upper hand on airflow. The plain NZXT Phantom is pretty awesome and the HAF XM is great too. Corsair builds some pretty solid cases at the 100$ plus price point with some pretty awesome features, you could look into that too.

PS. It doesn't look like you filled in the cases you were looking at.
