Im looking to buy a gaming desktop, but wasnt sure whats good to buy price wise but works the best, inwas looking to stay under $900 but that will be able to run Guild Wars 2 fluidly.

if it is just the computer itself with no monitor you should be looking at an Intel i5 Cpu (Ivy-Bridge) or an Amd 8*** series Cpu. look for at least a Nvidia GTX 650 ti or a Radeon HD 7770. 4-8Gbs of Ram is fine and make sure it doesn't have a cheapy power supply! you best choice is to build one yourself so you get everything just the way you want it and it would be cheaper too...

How much would I have to pay for a basic gaming desktop? I only want to be able to run high-end games like Skyrim on the lowest reccommended graphics settings at a reliable framerate WITHOUT OVERHEATING. Right now my computer runs Skyrim on the lowest graphic settings and frequently overheats and crashes. Also, would it cost less to build one? Where would I learn how to do that?
