What laptop would best support video games under 900 Dollars?

Q. I am looking for a new laptop that would be able to do the general stuff -- hold pictures, music, microsoft office programs, and be able to browse the web, but at the same time, I want it to be able to support alot of computer games. Some such as Starcraft II, Final Fantasy, Sims 3, etc. I don't want it to be slow either, so I want the laptop to be able to support all the things I want to do. I do not want a PC because I need its portability for college. But, I am not going to be able to afford anything over $900. Any suggestions?

Q. I'm looking to buy a good gaming desktop. One that can run guild wars 2, possibly battle field 3, and some of the other newer games. I would like one that can run these games pretty good. Id like to run Guild Wars 2 on high with out lag if at all possible.I don't have any experience with building one. So I'd prefer one that is pre built. I have a mouse keyboard moniter and all that just need the pc.

Bare bones kits from Tiger Direct have several levels of performance, most under your budget, save $$$ by two hours screwdriver twirling. You will have to add your choice of video card in most cases, as well as CPU cooler, and the OS.

I would like to build a good computer that can run games smooth for under 500 dollars. I have someone helping me build it so I just need to buy the parts. I was wondering what parts I can buy and how many fps games will run with the parts.

For 500 you really can't build anything that would run games. I'm sorry, but you really can't. If you plan on playing games you will need about a 700-900 dollar budget and with that you can get an entry level PC. If you can't afford that I would really suggest just buying a video game console such as the PS3 or Xbox 360.

So this will be a well working machine capable of maxing alot of games, with an affordable price tag. Total comes to 840, assuming you have peripherals

I'm searching for a laptop that'll be able to play Blizzard games smoothly on high graphics and resolution. A laptop with a good graphics card, video card, and processor; compatible, sleek, and easy to use. I'm looking for something under $1,000. Also it has to be a PC not a Mac.

HP, Dell and Sony are always good choices. You can find laptops with nice prices from these manufacturers, and you can also mount your own ideal laptop in their websites.

The most important things you need to take notice, though, are:
1) The operating system: Windows XP is older, but a lot faster than Seven and Vista.
2) The graphics card: don't get fooled and get a laptop with an Intel GPU. It will suck. You're gonna need something from nVidia or ATI. Check the performance benchmarks here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison-of-Laptop-Graphics-Cards.130.0.html
3) The screen size. You're gonna want a display with 15" or more.
4) The processor. Get at least a Core 2 Duo (that's the minimum you'll need), or even an i5.

HP has nice offers in the dv6 line. You can mount a great laptop in the website for around 800-900 dollars.

Go to this website first--PcPartsPicker.com--This gives you prices and compatibility of parts. I always buy parts from Newegg.com for the best store. Buy a Rosewill case and power supply for best for the money. Buy a case with 3 fans(120mm), a power supply(psu) with 700 watts. ASRock extreme 3 motherboard with the same socket number as your processor for compatibility. Core i5 Intel processor-you don't need an i7 cpu for gaming. I use an AMD FX-4170 which works for me and costs less than the i5 although many gamers like the i5. 8GB of DDR3 ram 1600MHz. Sony optical drive dvd reader and burner for about 20 dollars. SATA 500GB or 1TB hard drive 7200 rpm 32MB cache or 64MB cache. I just bought a Radeon 7870 2GB video card at Newegg.com for $214 and it is great for the cost. Most people upgrade the video card every 2 years or so like I do. Thats why I stay in the 200 dollar range since in 2 years the 200 dollar one then will be twice as fast as the 200 dollar one is now. And an OS, get Windows7 for about 100 dollars-Home Premium is good for gaming- as W8 doesn't have the bugs worked out yet, you can upgrade in the future. I bought W8 for only 40 dollars but went back to Windows7 for now till w8 gets a service pack. You should be able to build a good one for under 900 to 1000 dollars.
All the parts and wires go into the only place they fit. There are 7 tiny wires from the front of the case to the mobo that have to be exactly right for it to start. The mobo manual will have a diagram that shows how to get them right, this is the trickiest part of pc building. Put the optical drive(dvd) in the case and the hard drive b4 you put in the mobo. Then install the power box and ram and video card.
