if you are in gaming, get full ATX mobo and tower so that you will have enough space for coolers, gfx cards and future add ons/upgrades..

How do i convince my parents to buy me a gaming pc?

XAVIER

Ok,so here is my problem. My dad promised to buy me a gaming pc after 3 years of waiting and he said i will buy you one but not now,you have to wait little more. But my problem is that the computer will not be there anymore because someone other will buy the PC.Pls help me,I need the answer fast.
And if you can, please tell me how to earn some money. My mom and dad never pay me for anything that I do home, they say that i'm helping everyone in our family by doing it.

Answer
If your parents are being unfair, then take them to a PC store and show them the benefits and advantages of a gaming pc. They will be interested in the quality and speed of these computers and there is a chance they will buy it for you.

Save up some money by doing chores, small jobs etc. and offer to pay for a significant fraction of the new computer.

Tell them that you are becoming anxious and sad about them not buying it for you, and that you really really need this pc.

good luck :)

I am looking to buy a gaming pc but I also want to spend as little money as possible on it. I want to know what the least amount of money I can spend would be to be able to buy or at least build a computer that will play at least RPGs even if I have to lower the settings a bit. I hate not being able to play anything and all that i am looking to do is to change that so I can play most things on low settings.

Answer
OK, the best cheap option is upgrading a low-cost starting PC with a better graphics card.

So I recommend starting with this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dell+-+Inspiron+Desktop+-+4GB+Memory+-+500GB+Hard+Drive/4673045.p?id=1218505323144&skuId=4673045

Then adding this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131441

That can play most things on medium settings, some easier games on high.

You could go with a cheaper graphics card like the Radeon HD 6450 but you'd get 50% slower performance and only save $15, so I don't recommend that.

How much money does an average 16-17 year old have saved up?

miller

I am feeling horrible right now as my dad says that I am useless and that I don't know how to save money. I just bought a $1000 gaming PC and now I only have about $7000 in my bank account. Is that enough for my future????

Answer
I'm 16 and I have some sort of trust fund (amount unknown).
In personal savings, I have like $500. But I did just spend a bucket load.
Most of my friends have nothing saved really. As by my understanding, I'm above average. But I'm sure most people have either more or less. You seem good.

I don't think that's enough for your whole future, but its a very good starting point. Just keeping building that up.
