I actually need to know if the $800 is for a "complete build" or just for the tower (peripherals not needed). Do you want a pre-built or you're planning to build it yourself?

i want to build my own computer but i dont want to buy a bunch of parts and have them either not fit together or just not know what im doing. a YouTube build would be nice but not necessary.

gaming pc for $500? dream on. my graphics card cost that alone. Even a half decent card will cost you $200 nevermind the rest. If you want to play the latest games you need to up your budget to around $800.

I need a better PC. I want to be able to play Arma 2, Farcry 3, Borderlands 2, Etc. Not including the monitor because I know what one I want already, could someone give me some helpful tips?

Yes you definitely could all you must remember to read the item specs i find alot of items out there for example i found a mother board costing me 250 pounds then found another one for 150founds with better specs.

Make sure though when looking you give your self plentyof room to upgrade you dont want to get a pc that a thew years down the line you want to upgrade and cant.

For a gaming pc all i have is 8gb of ddr3 ram a 1tb hardrive, nvidia hdmi graphics card a blue ray player and a 600w silent psu all costing me a grand total of 600 pounds :D and i find this plays prety much any game i throw at it.

Also a sound bit of advice is to turn the graphics down on windows 7 and windows vista if you use them it makes the games smoother.

The only problem is as far as building (Or even PC's themselves) I know NOTHING. I don't know where to start at all and on top of that I'm on a budget (I would like to keep around 600 - 800 dollars) and even at that it will take me at least 6 months to a year to get all the parts.

So could someone point me in the right direction? What's the best parts for that budget?

and with that money what kind of games could I run? Give examples. I've been thinking about Assassins Creed III.

It seems to be a great deal on a great PC, especially for a first time build. Just remember to get an anti-static mat as well as a ground wristband to avoid frying anything before you can use it.

If you need a cheaper build I have another I built up for about $550.

I have been doing this my whole life, and although I am only 18, I have built many computers and have several people who only call me to fix their computers. So feel free to ask me anything.

You build your own for less, however since you mentioned you do not know how to build one, you should go with getting and already pre-made gaming PCs.

There are branded ones like the alienware PCs but these can get pretty expensive, there are however relatively lower cost but still packs the same punch as the more expensive gaming pcs.

What is a good way to build a gaming PC that is an economical computer that can run games like BF3 at standard graphics like Xbox. I don't want to waste money on a 1,000 dollar computer, I just want a computer that can run games well, not the heretic way of every game must be ultra settings, but in a comfortable way like the Xbox, sometimes there a lags, but mostly it can run games at a normal standard at a fair price.

It'll cost you an average of 650$ without the accessories. You'll be spending at least 750-800$.

With the above rig I've mentioned, you can pretty much max out any game currently available.
If you don't want to pay 800$ then, for the CPU, you can get the AMD Phenom II X4 970, for the GPU, you can get the GTX 560. If you're getting an AMD CPU then get the ASUS M5A88M motherboard. The Phenom II X4 970 is a beast at gaming and so is the GTX 560. You'll be spending about 199$ less if you go with this setup.
