Good pre-built gaming pc under $2000 (Serious answers and please no build your own!)?

I need a gaming PC that will last me for at least this year the main games I want to get for this PC (So you have an idea of the specs I'm aiming for) are Witcher 2 (It looks amazing) and Skyrim.
I've been looking at the HP Pavillion elite http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/165752/index.asp and that looks pretty good. But are there any better ones I could get?
The problem with building one myself is one I probably wouldn't be able to do it :P I'm good with electronics but not with small things like putting wires together..
and two there is practically no one in my local area who would help me build it.. None that I've found at least.

Even though you said no "build your own" I do have to say this. No matter what, you are ALWAYS going to over pay for a pre-built computer. You could build a computer of that spec for around $1600. So you can save a heck of a lot if you just build it yourself.

The minimum you'll need for a decent gaming PC is around $800, without peripherals like a monitor or keyboard/mouse, nor does it include an operating system.

You can go a bit cheaper, but then you'll have to compromise on the more expensive parts, like the processor and video card, which are exactly those parts that make-up the heart of a gaming machine...

Being an Intel guy, the least I would recommend is an i5 2400 in combination with an ATI HD6870 or NVidia GTX560 video card. Lower than that and too many recent games will have to be played in lower settings or at lower screen resolutions (I game in 1920x1080 and set that as a standard)...

That's the gist of it, Marcos...

At least, you have $200 to $300 to start with. So, saving will maybe taking some time, but it will be the more satisfying when you finally will get what you really desire, instead of having to settle for something which doesn't quite cut the mustard...

EDIT : The I3-2120 is considered up until now the best budget processor for gaming mainly because up until now most games are still leaned on using 2 cores, there are actually only a few games that takes advantage of using 3-4 cores ( like civilization 5 ).

As you can see here, the I3-2100 performs way better than the FX cpu's and some phenom II cpu's which has 4 cores. Thus I always that the I3-2120 is a good processor for gaming PROVIDED that you compliment it with a very decent mid range GPU like the HD 6850 / HD 6870 / GTX 560 / GTX 560 ti and it would not result in bottlenecking.

Future proof gaming PC for under $2000 AU?

I want to build a gaming PC for under 2000 Australian Dollars. I don't need a monitor, mouse, keyboard or speakers. I also want this to be as future proof as possible.

Also it should preferably either have a combo of ATI and AMD or a combo of Nvidia and Intel.

I'm looking to build my own Gaming PC in order to play games such as Battlefield 3 and GTA IV on the highest settings, but I'm not sure which hardware I should purchase. What I'm looking for is a PC that:

-Isn't too loud
-Doesn't overheat before 5 hours of usage
-Can play games such as Battlefield 3, GTA IV and Crysis with the highest settings
-Is overall good quality
-Must be under $2000

I'm thinking of building a new gaming PC this year (I built one in 2010 for around £1000 but its getting a bit dated now). I expect to be building around June-July time, and given the current speculation on future releases from Intel/AMD, my specs will be approximately as follows:

i7-4770k
HD 8970 3GB
16GB 1600MHz RAM
Crossfire ready LGA1150 Motherboard
Decent case with 750/850W PSU (for potential Crossfire)
256GB SSD (no HDDs, I hardly use any space, currently running Win 7 with 5 games, using 120GB)
Windows 8 Pro (with Blue upgrade)
Peripherals: 1080p 27" monitor, decent gaming mouse/keyboard/headset (expected to be £300-400 for all peripherals)

What sort of price do you think this would equate to? Note that the launch price of the i7-4770k is expected to be about the same as that of the 3770k, and likewise for the HD 8970. Could I get it for under £2000 (a little over $3000)?

Fell free to make comments on my choices/suggestions (I will consider getting an nVidia GPU but not an AMD CPU). Thanks!

@Wcdih... I'm not going to get X79 as it won't be any better for gaming than X87. I have a friend with an i5 2500k and a GTX560Ti, another with an i7 3930k and a GTX560Ti and they get Identical fps. Have you got any links to the specs of that i5 you mentioned?

processor is too much, i5 3570k is all you need.

if you are gettign 16 gigs of ram make sure its 4 x 4 gigs and not 2 x 8 gigs and 8 gig sticks have higher latency timings in general.

could easily get for £2000

personally i would just upgrade your current one if you spend £1000 on it 3 years ago it must have an i7 or similar and good psu. just get a new graphics card and SSD.

the only thing i would change is the monitor, if you are going over 26" you are far better off swapping to a 2560 x 1600 res monitor, trust me it looks amazing.

okay its probably gonna cost closer to £500 - 525 with all the keyboard mouse etc now but trust me its worth it, if your paying £2000 you may aswell go for the best.

you do realise processor has nothing to do with gaming performance. the i7 4770k will perform almost no different than an old phenom 2 965 in gaming if paired with identical graphics cards.

aslong a as a processor can run a game having a better one will make, at most, 2 - 3 FPS difference.

your friends get the same performance because they have the same graphics card, if the one with a i5 2500k got a 660ti he would have far better gaming performance than the one with the i7.

anandtech.com seems to be down at the moment but if you look at the benches between CPUs and scroll down to the bottom and look at gaming performance you will see minute changes between the 3570k and the 3770k processors but , in comparison, huge changes between the nvidia 660 and the nvidia 680.

All I know about the construction of PCs is that most of them can't handle the amount of stress I put on them. Where can I get a PC built just for me, that will be really powerful, without spending over 2K?
Okay, maybe I need to be a little more specific:
1. I hate Dell. Thank you.
2. I want to build a computer that handles anything, not leaving it on 24/7.

What do you mean by stress? Physical stress? Leaving them on 24/7? Playing hard core games that take up lots of resources? Please be more specific.

You can get a higher end i7 chip and dual video cards and be able to throw anything at it without stressing it to much for under $2000 easily. The key to being demanding on a computer is to keep it cool.

this build is just the basic, this can max out all games on 1080p resolution with good FPS, but you can still upgrade it according to your preference like an SSD, gaming keyboard and mouse, sound card, gaming speakers or upgrading to a gtx 570, gtx 580, the decision is always yours, this is just a suggestion.

Find the first guest in your park and name him or her "e=mc2". Find the second guest and name him or her "e=mc3". Both guests will get together and after about a year they will ask you to hire them. Answer "Yes" and use maximum funding to double your ride development.

Click on construction, delete everything until the end of the first loop, and make a flat piece. Then, add an on-ride photo section. Make it go up and add another loop. Next, make it go at the highest angle and click on the short turn at the top. Build about four to six of these and set the launch speed at 50 to 58 mph. This should make you over $2000 an hour and barely costs any money or time.

Easy money
Open a ride and as soon as it is full, double click on close to get the money the guests paid for the ride.

When your park has enough money to afford all of advertisement campaigns, put all of them on. Then, hike the entry price to $50. Crowds will come swarming in because of the advertisements and will pay $50 to enter. This will result in quick and easy money.

When in Dynamic Dunes go to the Dynamic Blaster roller coaster. Set the price to t $3, wait until you get a very long line, then hike the price up to about $10. Every person in that line will have to pay $10 to ride. Note: Using a higher price may cause everyone to leave the line.

Build a roller coaster with a very long waiting line and open it with a very cheap price. Wait until you notice that the ride is full. While people are waiting to ride immediately change the price to the highest to force them to pay. Note: People that do not have money will not pay and will leave the park.

Build the Go Kart ride and create a very long waiting path. Make sure the price is free. Advertise your new ride. When you have a huge line, increase the price, but keep it under $10. Everybody who can afford it will pay that much. When the line dies down, lower the price back to free, and repeat.

Increase your sale of food and drinks by putting the shops on the exit portion of a ride. However, you must keep the prices at a reasonable price. You can also put the rest rooms there, and put a charge to use them.

Build any ride which is popular (for example, Shuttle Loop) and make a very long queue. When the queue is full, raise the land directly outside the entrance, blocking it. Then, raise the entrance fee to that ride very high, and to get out , the people have to pay to go on the ride to exit.

An easy way to get money very quickly is to open a roller coaster that you would price very high. Then, wait for the people to pay for the ride and get on. Pause game play, close the ride, open the ride, and the people that paid for the ride will get off very quickly so that more people can get on.

Build a souvenir shop and set the umbrella price to $20 and people will buy it when it rains.

Once the monorail is available to build, make a plot of land with a few paths linked together. Do not link these paths to any other path. Make sure this is enough to sustain about 20 to 40 guests. Build many rides and shops in this space that you do not have elsewhere in your park; perhaps repeat some of the rides people love (such as slides and shuttle loops). Hire a mechanic and a handyman (and an entertainer and a security guard if desired). It also helps to add some scenery. Then, build your monorail linking this secluded patch of land to your main park. Make sure the price of the monorail is reasonable, or you will be dealing with some unused rides. Guests will pay to get to your lovely patch of land, and they will have to pay to get out
