I want a really good gaming desktop that has high graphics and can run games like battlefield 4 or GTA V when it comes out for PC. It has to be really fast, no lag and really good graphics.

I would recommend any of the four PCs listed above for some medium - heavy gaming. These PCs are by no means considered to be enthusiast but below $800 they are quite good. If you are looking to save $50-$100 on anyone of these machines then you can go to a custom PC building site such as cyberpowerpc.com and configure one with the same specs as the ones i listed. Also when you go to a custom building site they will usually throw in a mouse, keyboard, and some cheapo speakers for free.

If you want to buy a good quality gaming laptop, I'd recommend that you should spend at least $1200. Gaming laptops are expensive because it's hard to put good graphic cards into computers. Most laptops run the graphics from the motherboard, but a separate graphic card can be rather pricey. The best brands for gaming are Alienware (Made by Dell) And Voodoo (Made by HP). with these brands, just DESKTOPS start at around $1200! For $800, you'll be able to get a good Toshiba, Dell or HP, but for sure not a gaming computer. If you want to save money and get a real gaming laptop, then build one yourself. IT takes a bit of effort and may take a bit longer, but you will still be able to save some money, and you can buy the parts separate so you'll get exactly what you want.
Overall, I'd recommend to either spend about $1200 and buy a gaming computer or about $1000 and build your own gaming computer. $800 will get you a nice laptop that can run your games, but the graphics won't be as good. So you decide, and I hope that I helped.

Good gaming computer under £800?

Q. So I've saved up roughly £800 for a good gaming computer, I mainly want one that can hold a 16gb ram and is extremely reliable for full HD gaming with no lag at all.

I already have a very good graphics card and monitor etc. I only want the pc itself so could someone please recommend me one or give me a link so a website in which ill be able to get one? I'm not to good with the in depth pc details but can understand most of it. Thanks much appreciated.

This is a beautiful CyberPowere that I am also considering buying. A $500 dollar computer seems the exact opposite of a budget, I know... That's how I feel. But this boy is ridiculously powerful, and compared to other gaming PC's with exact or lower specs, it's cheap. I like the design of its case also, but that's irrelevant.
Reading customer reviews, it seems to be very easily upgraded. One man claims he bought it, spent around $500 dollars on upgrades and software updates, and it now bests a $3000 Alienware. I like the sound of the that.

I am comparing the above mentioned with this beast. It doesn't look as pretty, and it's on Windows 7 instead of 8, but it's nearly as powerful. It's case is actually easier to open than the other one, making upgrades easier. And it's dirt cheap: $499.00. To me, that sounds like a lot of money, but like I said, PC Gaming setups can cost thousands.

So, it's really up to you. I'm leaning towards the first one. It's a extra $50 dollars, but that's not bad for a beautiful and powerful computer.

I need help picking out parts for a desktop gaming computer that won't break the bank. Budget wise, I want to stay under 700 or 800 dollars. I kind of want to run graphically intense games like Skyrim on decent settings. I also want a fast processor to do all of this. If anyone who is an "expert or good" with this kind of stuff I would really appreciate tips about the subject. This is what I could come up for you. What you could do initially is spend a bit more on the core specs of the system and temporarily use the integrated graphics (which really is not made for gaming) on the CPU then you could upgrade to a better graphics card later (That's what I did). So if you can wait longer to game on it then that would be your best bet.

Also alot of these have mail-in-rebates so you can save money as long as you buy them before they expire, and then there are promo codes but newegg will only allow 1 promo per order. With Windows 7 64-bit OEM it might be a bit over budget initially maybe as much as 20$ after promo minus the rebates if you catch those. If you decide to do this you need to download the PDF's for the rebates before then expire which can be found on the item page. here are the instructions...

#1 Click on where it says "after mail-in rebate card"
#2 Click "print rebate" (you need adobe acrobat reader)
#3 Either print (printer icon) ,and, or save (the floppy disk icon) the pdf file to your documents folder

There is also Sager (Clevo) and OCZ, both manufacturers offer laptops among the fastest in the world (Google: Sager NP9262, Sager NP5796 (17", Single Video Card, Single Hard Drive, Dual Core), Sager M860TU (15", Single Video Card, Single Hard Drive, Dual (and maybe Mobile Quad soon) Core), Arima W840 DI / OCZ Whitebook (17", dual video cards, dual hard drives, dual and mobile quad core, Backlit Keyboard, upgrade to an old chassis that Alienware used once, can take ATi Crossfire).

Also, both of those manufacturers are cheaper by thousands of dollars against Alienware, Dell, Voodoo PC, etc... with a better build-quality and experience (Sager has been in the market since the middle 80's).

I want to get a gaming computer before the Elder scrolls online comes out, so I can play that, and some other games I have been wanting to play through PC.
A lot of people told me to make one, but I'm too afraid something might go wrong with that.
I was looking into getting the Dell Alienware X51 which was about 919 when I customized it to my liking.
Would that be good to use?

You don't need a laptop/desktop that costs more than 1.5K, unless you want to figure out how many starts there are in the sky. I have a Lenovo y400 that can run elder scrolls online at about 40 fps on high, not ultra. It was a sale for $800.

I would recommend any of the four PCs listed above for some medium - heavy gaming. These PCs are by no means considered to be enthusiast but below $800 they are quite good. If you are looking to save $50-$100 on anyone of these machines then you can go to a custom PC building site such as cyberpowerpc.com and configure one with the same specs as the ones i listed. Also when you go to a custom building site they will usually throw in a mouse, keyboard, and some cheapo speakers for free.

I am looking to by a new computer. What i am looking for is a computer and at least a 25 inch monitor. I would prefer to have a desktop that is on the smaller side. So, what is the best computer for my price range?

Any computer you build yourself is the best computer for your money because you made it, But if you can't, here's some links i'll leave in the source box they should be a good computer for your $ and what not. They should all have exceptional performance if you decide to ignore the links and don't like any of them , Some shopping advice ; if it's 400-800$ and says Pentium don't buy it since your budget is 800$ and you didn't mention any gaming , all you really need is an exceptional processor ; Go for core i5 and above the mini tower pc's have old/slowbad outdated processors due to cooling issue's and the company's con people with all the convincing ad's and what not.
