for a gaming pc your main focus should be the gpu and it seems you picked the cheapest dedicated one. try for something like a 6870. you can downgrade to an i5-2500 and 4GB of ram without any noticable performance loss and put that money into a better gpu. in fact, 4GB @ 1600 would be better than 8GB @ 1333 especially if they have the same timings

Can you play PC games without the keyboard and mouse mainly?

I tried to play counterstrike and half life and so far I have to use the keyboard to and mouse somewhat ...for pc games u can't be mainly dependent on the controller?( a bought a video game type controller) should I buy a new one? or is it just these certain games they dont let u use ONLY ur controller?

There is a huge difference between PC games and console games (gamecube, X-box, PS2, etc)....
I have played PC games for many years (late 80's) as well as several platform games, and trust me, using a keyboard and mouse is FAR better than a joystick/gamepad. You see, console games cannot use real-time aiming like a mouse... instead, they have to rely on using a target button, which is a lot like cheating (don't we wish we had a 'target' button when WE shoot people?). If you would invest about 30-45 days with a keyboard, getting used to the W,A,S, and D keys as the main movement keys, you would quickly grow accustomed to the controls.
Nowdays, I only play PC games. My kids play on gamecube, and I can't hardly stand it. If they play a first-person shooter on Gamecube, it is impossible to run to the left, and shoot to the right at the same time. You are forced to run in the direction you want to shoot. You are also forced to scroll through weapons to change them... with a PC you can assign 10 different weapons to the 10 number keys, and instantly pick one without having to roll through all the others.
Also, don't play counterstrike online without being very proficient with the controls... you'll get your tail whipped very badly. Play the single player game (like Half-life) and get accustomed to it that way.
p.s. If you program your keys right, your left hand will be able to control about 15 things without having to move the hand at all... just the fingers. This allows for fast response and max. speed. The keys on the right half of the keyboard shouldn't be used much at all.
