Looking for a game to play on pc?

None

i really enjoyed skyrim, used to play WoW, runescape, age of empires II (only kind of it's genre i ever liked) etc. basically all the cliches, wondering if anyone knows of something similar.

- not interested in any eastern Japanese style mmorpgs, don't think i'd enjoy any other than i did wow, and runescape well i was 12 and the game was way different back then, i honestly prefer simplicity in those kind of games hence why they drew me away.

Answer
I'm at the same situation you are in. WoW is just getting too old, Skyrim was great just not an MMO.. not even multiplayer.
Guild Wars (I'm sure you've heard of it) also getting a little old, developed by some of the senior developers of Blizzard Entertainment who participated in the early production of World of Warcraft. (obviously not working for Blizzard anymore) Has been a great MMORPG, and is coming out with a sequel, release date TBA 2012.
An MMO like WoW, but with better graphics, personal favorite is better character customization. The downside is it's a free-to-play game, this means no subscription fee, which means limited budget for future game development. Subscriptions are the reason Blizzard has been able to release so much addition content 4 expansions, patches, hot fixes, to the point that the game will continue for decades. Which is great for WoW, you get to keep your same character that entire time, but not great as you also get stuck with the same graphics the entire time. Free-to-play means there will be a end to the game, and where one ends another shall rise with better graphics using more recent technology, downside is all your work in your character is lost. The games are about as complex as WoW too.

As said Guild Wars 2 is not out yet. If you are interested in it there are plenty of game to keep you ocupied for the time.
Diablo III releases on May 15th, Dark fantacy action/horror RPG, with hack and slash, and dungeon crawling elements By Blizzard. Free-to-play, but not a MMO like WoW, it is multiplayer but only 2-8 players per game, but you can drop in and out of games without altering the gameplay. Very simple game, designed to be more action related, drop into a game, kill a bunch of shit, drop out, drop into a new game, repeat.

I think you might enjoy Dungeon Defenders (available on Steam), it combines action RPG and Tower Defense elements together. So you can level a character with talent points, and collect armor and weapons to gear them up, while also building a stratigic defense system using towers, walls, and bunkers to defend points of interests. It also hase some multiplayer capability. This one will require you to use your brain, particularly where to place your defenses and how heavyly you need to upgrade the defenses. But really there isn't much to the game as a whole.
Has been a great game to waste time till Diablo releases.

is there a game for PC that is basically unbeatable and just continues on forever?

knoxyboy

Not many games have longevity.... i want a computer game thats either a long standing survival game or a city creation faction game. maybe something like fallout but just raw survival without a real way to win or a game with a ton of city management along with a good military outlook.
nah i have those games, except wow.... i dont want all the junk that comes with mmorpg. i love fallout and skyrim and play them both but i want like i am legend in a video game or a game like anon 2070 with a bit less online and a bit more war

Answer
Civilization V?? Spore?? There's not too many games out there like what you're asking for. Most games eventually have an end. And yes, even Fallout and Skyrim have a relatively definite end.

The Sims 3 (or Sims 2/1) would be one game that has the potential to go on forever. Assuming you don't let your last Sim die and you keep having kids and such you can play that game literally forever, because there is no end.

I forget if Spore has an end.... I'm pretty sure Civ V has an end though, but w/e.

There's a new city game out too, Cities XL 2012.

WoW is pretty long, and it's hard to find an end. But for the most part you just get stuck doing the same thing over and over, especially when you reach the level cap. You constantly grind and play the same dungeons to get loot and tokens for better gear. That's pretty much it.

Minecraft is also a decent game, if you can accept it's playstyle and graphics. It too is a game that really has no actual main objective or end. You just play in your own little world (on multiplayer on a server) and do... whatever you want to do.

How do i fix Sims 3 from not responding?

I have Sims3 on and HP laptop with windows 7. i have a few expansions and mods. every time i try to load my world l, half way through it stops responding and closes. It started when i updated the game ealier today. (10/29/2012) there was a big update. now i cant play. i was guessing that it was and outdated mod. but i downloaded Delphy's Sims 3 Dashboard tool and it says everything is fine. can someone help me please.

Answer
It sounds like you may need to check your memory since updating the game. Make sure you have space needed for the game to load worlds & sims correctly. See EA's game spec requirements here:

http://www.thesims3.com/game/systemreq

See if maybe your're running low on memory on your laptop. I recently upgraded the PC all of my expansion and stuff packs are on and all of the glitches, load delays, and game lags are now gone. I would have issues with saving my game as well on the old PC but now I do not.

Before the upgrade I would search the internet relentlessly for why I was having so many issues with my game. It was totally frustrating but upgrading my PC has eliminated all game glitches of any kind. I have 1 TB of hard drive space, and 8 gb of RAM currently installed. My prior system only had 2 GB of memory/RAM.

However, with mods that are outdated since a recent game update, it may also be something causing a glitch of some sort. I manually go through mods that I recently added to my mods/packages folder and one by one try to find the culprit.

How would you rank your Video Game library?

I'm 24. I've owned...

NES
SNES
Sega Genesis
GameCube
PS2
PS3
Xbox
Xbox 360
PC

Trust me, you ain't much more knowledge about gaming then I am. I've played them all. I only have a Xbox 360 now though.

Answer
I couldn't possibly fit all the games I own on here, my last count went over 500 titles across multiple platforms (not including my PC stack as many of the older games are either copies of the originals or originals missing their boxing & manuals. Also not including duplicate versions of the same game on a different platform.)

As to what I've owned (but no longer have):
Atari 2600; Colecovision; NES; Commodore 64; Sega Master System; Game Boy; SEGA Genesis; Phillips CD-i; 3DO; SEGA Saturn; PlayStation; Game Boy Advance; SEGA Dreamcast; XBOX; PSP; Wii (I kinda, set it on fire. I lost a bet, had to be done *sniff*)

What I still own:
SNES; Nintendo 64; Game Boy Color; PlayStation 2; GameCube; Nintendo DS; Nintendo 3DS; Xbox 360; PlayStation 3; Wii-U; PC

As to my top 5 favorite games of all time:
1) Baldur's Gate 2 (PC - 2000)
2) Dragon Age: Origins (PC/XB360/PS3 - 2009)
3) Star Control 2 (PC/3DO - 1992)
4) Diablo 2 (PC - 2000)
5) Mass Effect 2 (PC/XB360/PS3 - 2010)

My top 5 Worst games of all time (that I've actually owned):
1) Superman (N64 - 1999)
2) Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust (PC/XB360/PS3 - 2009)
3) Expect No Mercy (PC - 1996)
4) William Shatner's TekWar (PC - 1995)
5) Two Worlds (PC/XB360 - 2007)

I know there are worse games, but thankfully I either never owned them or never played them.

As a kid I was spoiled, as I do come from a well off family (stop whining, I can't help where & with whom I popped out. I'm grateful.) Today, I have a good job and a salary that comfortably supports my gaming needs. I'm 33 BTW.

Also what period of time should be covered in the game?
Rome TW covered ancient ages,Shogun TW and its sequel Shogun 2 also with Medieval and Medieval 2 middle ages and Empire with Napoleon modern times. What might be left is either World war 1 or 2 time.
I know the game might appear sometime in 2012 but its title is total mistery.
What are your opinions?

Answer
It might appear until mid-2012.I think it might be either Rome 2 or a new Total war period of time.I wish I knew more i like the games of this series.

What are some good online zombie games for PS3?

Kyle

So me and my friends love playing zombies together. But we hate play COD zombies. Are there any games we can play online together. Maybe has a story to it. But something new not anything old.

Answer
All Zombies Must Die! (2011) - is a top-down shooter video game for up to four players. The game was released as a downloadable title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles and personal computers running the Windows operating system. It is the spiritual successor to Burn Zombie Burn.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012) - First-person shooter that was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. It's a continuation of the zombies mode from Black Ops. New game modes and maps include Green Run, Tranzit, Grief (up to 8 players), Nuketown, Great Leap Forward, Die Rise, and Turned.

DayZ (2012) - This is a PC game. An ARMA 2 mod which features survival horror and shooter gameplay in an open world. The game is online multiplayer. Players must feed their character as well as deal with other players and the living dead.

Dead Island (2011) - is an action role-playing survival horror video game for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is centered on the challenge of surviving a zombie-infested open world island with a major emphasis on melee combat. It is a 4-player coop.

Dead Island: Riptide (2013) - is an action role-playing survival horror video game, also for Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is a sequel to 2011's Dead Island, with a plot continuation as the five survivors arrive on another island in the Banoi archipelago, which has also been overrun by zombies. This has a 5-player coop.

Dead Nation (2010) - PlayStation Network dual-stick shooter. The game detects players' geographic locations and groups them accordingly within the game world, displaying players' progress in that region. Multiplayer can be done locally or online for two players.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare (2010) - is the fifth downloadable content (DLC) pack released for Red Dead Redemption. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and for Xbox 360. Undead Nightmare follows the exploits of John Marston, as he searches for a cure for an infectious zombie plague that has swept across the American Old West. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Collection which does not require the original Red Dead Redemption game to be played. It also has multiplayer, allowing up to four players.

Resident Evil 6 (2012) - is an action-adventure third-person shooter video game and the ninth main installment in the Resident Evil series. It was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It has a two player mode.

Resident Evil 5 (2009) - it is also has a two player mode. It's on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows as well.

There's also the Left 4 Dead series which is a cooperative first-person shooter arcade-style video game. It is multiplayer in which four survivors must cooperate to survive a zombie apocalypse. Sadly, it is not available for the PS3. It is only available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X. I'm suggesting it because if you want to play it, maybe think about playing it on the PC?

I hear everyone talking about Skyrim so now I wanna play? what is it? like what do you do?
oh so you can't play for free? you have to buy the game?

Answer
Skyrim is a massive offline role playing game that has you; a dragon slayer, pitted against fantasy creatures, such as giants, demons and dragons, in an effort to thwart an ancient dragon that wants to exterminate mankind.

Game play can be played in first person mode (first person shooter) or third person (3d platformer like super mario 64 or jak and daxter).

Combat is broken down into separate styles, such as, archery, 1 handed combat( including sword and shield, sword and magic, dual wielding, or just 1 sword), 2 handed combat, magic and werewolf strikes.

side note* there are swords, maces and axes available for 1 handed/2 handed combat
side note ** you can become a werewolf through a quest line. Werewolves attack with their 2 front claws, therefore acting like a dual wielder
Side note***You can become a vampire, but this adds abilities to any play style where the werewolf forces you to use only your front claws
side note**** if you download the new dlc for skyrim (currently only available to Xbox 06/28/2012) vampire lords are introduced and there are perk trees(increases damage and abilities for a playstyle) for both werewolf and vampires

You find shouts that allow you to call down thunder, shout at someone with enough force to send them flying over a cliff, breath fire, and there's many others

The rundown...Picture a giant open world like GTA or world of warcraft or any mmo for that matter where you play by yourself, complete quests that npcs give you, find unique weapons and armor, and fight fantasy creatures that can rip you apart.

It is a need to be bought game, available for xbox, ps3 and pc, can be bought through steam/psn/xbpx live, 40+ hours just for the main story. It is a ton of fun if you like rpgs

Transformers Fall of Cybertron or Borderlands 2?

Jester

I enjoyed both of these titles' first games very much. I am a big Transformers fan but I also love the first person shooting action Borderlands has to offer. I only have enough money to pre-order one and get it on its release date but I can't decide. What are your opinions? What will I get better gameplay value out of? Which do you think has a better pre-order bonus? I welcome any and all opinions and answers!

Answer
Hi, I think Borderlands 2 will be a very great game. I just Pre-Order the game for PC download here and will be available to download on September 18, 2012 at 12:00 AM (US/Pacific):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ALUBYQ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=acomprar-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B008ALUBYQ

Borderlands 2 is a hybrid First-Person Shooter, RPG game focused on over-the-top co-op play, and set in the open-world game environment of the planet Pandora. The second game in the game series, Borderlands 2 raises the 'loot and shoot' action of the original game with an even larger and more detailed world to explore, an updated gun system, a new cast of characters and character classes, and integration of storyline with action.

Also I bought Transformers Fall of Cybertron for my XBOX 360, is in pre-orden until August 28, hope I will end this game until Borderlands came, I'm really fan of video games. I bought Transformers Fall of Cybertron here:

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is a third-person shooter that returns players to the Transformer's planet of Cybertron for the final battles of the legendary war that preceded their arrival on Earth. The game continues the story of the earlier game, Transformers: War for Cybertron. Players experience the war from both the Autobot and Decepticon point of view, and utilize new powerful transformer types. Additional features include: epic large scale battles, character specific abilities, character customization, improved enemy AI, varied mission play, and online multiplayer.
