Is there a good gaming PC under $1000?

Trevor

Hey guys, I was debating on getting a gaming PC that will run games like Battlefield, Fallout and Skyrim on high or very well near it. The only problem though is I do not have the know how to build my own so I would need to buy a pre-made brand, such as alien ware or others. If you guys know of any good brands or PCs for under 1000 bucks for this, or just a bit over, please let me know as I am not good with PC type things.

Gaming PC build for under $1000?

Daniel G

I'm having some trouble figuring out what I should use for my first gaming PC build.

I'm on a bit of a budget so I'm shooting for under $1000.

any help?

Answer
This is a badass budget PC:

ATI Radeon 4850: $160 (after $30 rebate)
BFG 800w PSU: $130 (after $40 rebate)
Q9550: $330
OCZ 4GB RAM (2x2GB dual channel kit): $43 (after $30 rebate)
Case ~$50-100 (depending on style preference)
750i motherboard: $150-200
500GB Hard Drive: $60-75
Vista Home Premium 64-bit: $100
DVD burner: $25-50

This would put you at around $1000. You can easily substitute for cheaper items such as the motherboard and case and even the video card. I wouldn't go too low on any of them, though.

All prices from http://www.newegg.com.
