Do xbox 360 controllers work for pc games?

i want the game left 4 dead for my pc and was wondering if the xbox 360 controller works with pc's? does it have the same usb plug in or whatever or do you need a converter or something?

well everything looks good to me. One thing that i should point out is that your are ordering a blue-ray drive which in my opinion is pointless unless you are going to use your pc with you HDTV. other than that everything looks fine, you should double-check compatibility just in case. And make sure that you power supply gives you at least 50 watts free on a full load.
